Led by managing partner M. Sue Wilson, a Stanford Law School graduate who has practiced family law for more than 40 years, we fight for the best result for each and every client.
Driven by a relentless passion for justice, our firm is one of the largest of its kind in Minnesota. We also have one of the state’s largest appellate practices. We have argued more than 70 cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals. In fact, a large percentage of our practice is devoted to litigation and appellate work. We have prevailed in some of the state’s most high-profile cases, including In re Guardianship of Kowalski, 478 N.W. 2d 790. These efforts have been widely praised for shaping Minnesota’s family law and policy.
Because of our litigation talent, ability, and reputation, most of our cases settle outside of court, saving our clients the headache of drawn-out cases. We represent individuals the way in which we ourselves would want to be represented: aggressively, ethically, and with compassion. First and foremost, we give our clients a chance to be heard, never forgetting the critical importance of our work to their lives.
Our primary practice areas include Divorce (Marriage Dissolution), Child Custody, Complex Financial Cases, Business Valuation, and Appeals. We are experts at handling sensitive aspects of Minnesota family law cases, including legal separation, visitation rights, spousal maintenance, marital estates and property division, and domestic abuse.
In every case, our interest lies in obtaining justice and peace for all involved.
What our clients have to say…
“I am eternally grateful to have Sue Wilson’s Law Office and her team to support me throughout legal proceedings with my ex-husband. It took a lot of pressure off of me, but more importantly, having her office in my corner really kept the emotional stress at bay. I was confident in their ability and they proved me right.”
